About Screenside Guide
I've been a technology enthusiast since I was eight, when I figured out how to program our first VCR to record my favorite TV shows while I was at school, so I could watch them the moment I got home. That same enthusiasm is what I love helping others discover today.

My Path
I spent nearly ten years as an attorney, a path influenced more by others’ expectations than my own calling. When I started over here in Florida, I noticed something I couldn’t ignore: no matter what I did, I was always naturally teaching and coaching the people around me. Teaching is my greatest passion, and technology is one of the places I love to bring it.
Screenside Guide began when a neighbor asked for help setting up a professional Zoom meeting. She kept reaching out and eventually asked me to turn it into a business so she could hire me instead of bothering a neighbor. I’m entirely self-taught and always excited to explore new things whenever they come along.
What I Believe
Patience and genuine respect for your intelligence should be the standard. I never treat unfamiliarity with technology as something to be embarrassed about.
I measure my success by how confident and independent you become, or simply by how much you enjoy having something taken care of. If you choose to keep working with me, I want it to be for convenience, not dependence.
Meet the Team

Katia Mesquita
Founder & Personal Tech Guide
My technology background is hands-on. It has been part of my life and a passion since childhood, and I've used it extensively in my own work for years, long before this became a formal role. The patience I bring to every visit comes as much from my nature as from my experience.

Erick
IT Support Specialist
I hold a professional IT certification from Purdue University and bring genuine enthusiasm for technology to every visit. Patience comes naturally to me too, paired with real technical training for when something needs a deeper hand.
When I'm not helping clients, you'll find me exploring a new corner of technology, or completely unplugged with my family.
